How-To-Get-Rid-of-Acne

Today's post I will be sharing the best way to get rid of acne.

Acne are normal and something that we all battle out at some point. In this post I curated the steps you can take to reduce acne breakouts and keep your skin looking radiant and healthy.

First and foremost, I will be very honest to tell you that acne isn't fixed overnight. It may take time (And some forever) to heal and to vanish. I know how painful living with acne is and trust me, I've been there before and I am so thankful that for the past six years I haven't had any other major breakout anymore. I also haven’t used any fancy creams, lotions, facial wash to clear my acne nor did I go to a derma. The things that I will be sharing to you are purely based on research and experience.

Why Do We Get Pimple?

Before teaching you the ways you can beat the pimple intruders I'd like to give you some facts about acne. Knowing where and why we get these bad guys will help you to determine the first step that will make a big difference to your current face. Here are common reasons why people get acne:

1. Dirt and Bacteria

This is the leading cause of why people get acne. Dirt and bacteria can easily clog pores and infect them.

This is actually the reason why I got my severe acne before. As I mentioned in my video, I used  a face powder with sponge and I keep on using the sponge even if it is already dirty and filled with oil and so on. I stopped using powder the moment I realized the cause.

2. Hormones

Most will get acne because of hormonal changes during puberty. The reason for this is because oil glands tend to be naturally larger and produce more oil.

3. Stress

What you feel in the inside can reflect in the outside. Make sure that you don't stress out much if you want a better looking skin.

4. Bad Diet

Eating healthy and eating more vegetables and fruits can help treat acne. Try to avoid junk foods that give you more pimples.

Ingredients to Look for an Acne-Free Face

Looking for an acne treatment can be a daunting task. So below are the key ingredients you to  need to look for in a facial wash or cleanser if your aim is to become acne free. They will help fight pimple problems.

Salicylic Acid

This ingredient exfoliates old skin cells and unclogs dirt, bacteria and oil within the pores. Try Safeguard DermaSense Facial Wash with Salicylic Acid or Cosrx Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser.

Herbal Clay

This absorbs impurities, makeup, oil and dirt plus keep pores squeaky clean.  Try to use Queen Julep Mint Mask available in Human Natures.

Scrub Beads

This helps keep the skin smooth and tightens pores. The most famous scrub beads and one that I use is St. Ives Apricot Scrub or Asian Secrets Lulur Indonesian Whitening Facial Scrub.

Whitening Essence

This will even out your skin tone so that the dark marks left by acne scars will soon fade away. Try Belo Intensive White Soap. If the soap is too harsh try using other creams that has whitening factor.

7 Things You Can Do to an Acne-Free Face

1. Drink more water. Try to drink at least 8 glasses of water. It is better to keep your skin and body well hydrated and drinking water is the best solution for this. It detoxifies your body and naturally flushes out impurities.

2. Eat Healthy. Feed your skin healthy things and it will definitely stay healthy. Eat a well-balanced diet with fiber-rich foods.

3. Cleanse-Tone-Moisturize. This is such a good skincare routine to live by. Make it a habit to cleanse, tone and moisturize every day and every night. With the right products, you will notice the difference in as fast as one week.

4. Don't Pop Your Pimples. I know this could be so tempting to do but please don't ever squeeze your zits. Squeezing can make the situation a lot worse and can definitely drive more bacteria that can lead to scarring.

5. Get Enough Sleep. I am guilty with this part but I am trying my hardest to be less of a nocturnal person that I am. Anyhow, sleep allows your body to regenerate and replace dead skin cells with new and healthy skin cells.

6. Clean Your Sponges and Brushes. I learned my lesson the hard way before and I have to suffer from acne for about a year before I realized that anything that I should put in my face should be clean . It will also be helpful if you try to avoid putting too much makeup on your face.

7. Go Easy With Your Face Products. Don't use too many facial wash or creams or lotions. Stick to a combination that gave you the best result. Give a product at least three months to know if it really works. Also once you feel irritated or more break out happens, please stop using the product and search for a more suitable one.

I hope this blog post help you. I know and I do understand how hard living with pimples can be but know that you are beautiful. Don't let pimple bring you down or limit you to what you can do. It will fade away and there are a lot of solution that are available especially now that everything can be searched via Google.
