Pinay's Guide: 10-Step Full Makeup Tutorial

Long time no Pinay's Guide post. This series is created to show you some basic and general makeup and beautification tip, tricks and tutorials. Today I will be showing you How to Achieve an Easy Look with Only 10 Steps to Follow. I will try to film a video soon so you can really visualize how I do it. For this post I will only be including the step, short description and my recommended product to use.

I hope you'll enjoy this post.

So what are the things included in the 10-Step Full Makeup?

1. Moisturizer.

Hydrating your face before makeup is important because a healthy-looking base will certainly hold any foundation better and longer. I suggest to cleanse and to tone too before the moisturizing process. Find something that has SPF or if not then you can use a separate one. Currently I am using the Watsons Total Solution Day Cream as my all-in-one moisturizer. I love this product so much and it is easy to use and works well too. Read full review HERE.

2. Concealer.

The idea of concealer first before foundation is because we want to blend the two products together for perfect and seamless coverage. Some of my trusted concealer includes Naturactor in 151, Poof! Bobbie Cosmetics Concealer and Catrice All Around Concealer. Choose a creamy one that's a shade lighter than your skin tone so it can also act as a highlighter.

3. Foundation.

Choose a foundation that's close to your skin tone. It is also important that you have the right tools for the application. I have this habit of using my bare fingers to seamlessly blend the product onto my face. You can also use foundation brush or a makeup sponge. I love using my Paintbox by Bench BB Cream in Medium because it gives just the right amount of coverage but leaves a very light feel on the skin. 4. Powder.

Mattify your face as always if you don't want your foundation to melt. This will also keep the products sealed in your face. I use my SanSan HD 2-way Cake for it is a magical powder that gives me mattified but not cakey finish. I also love using the Maybelline Clear Smooth Original Pressed Powder, Catrice Powder and Bobbie 2-way Cake.

5. Blush and Bronzer.

This is a twin step essential for a full makeup look. If you are not a fan of contouring then skip bronzers and highlight instead but please don't forget the power of rosy cheeks through blush. I used my L'oreal Super Blendable Blush most of the time or my ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Cream in Sta. Lucia.

6. Lips.

For lips you might want to use a trustee lip balm first like the Himalaya Herbals lip balm and then followed by lipstick. I love Avon's Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick in Warm Berry as it gives the right red tint on my lips. For other options just click here.

7. Brows.

Brows are very important if you want have a clean and defined features. You know how obsessed I am with my Shawill 2-Way Eyebrow Cake. I also recommend Etude House's Drawing Eyebrow for it is also easy to use too.

8. Eyeshadow.

Nowadays smokey eyes are the in but doing just a nice day time look will just need shades of brown, pink or basic cream. The important thing is to properly blend. NYX has great single eyeshadows. If you need a cheaper alternative try Fashion 21 Single Eyeshadow or better yet SanSan single eyeshdaow sold for just 50pesos each.

9.Eyeliner. If there's a need for better definition do use an eyeliner on the top and bottom lash lines. There are different types of eyeliner now out in the market like pencil liners, gel liners and waterproof liners as  well as colored ones so make sure to choose accordingly. I used my Essence Eyeliner Pencil, Nichido Pencil Liner and Shawill Sleek Waterproof Volumizing Eyeliner Pen.

10. Mascara.
To further open up the eyes and give life to the look use favorable mascara. Most recommended mascara includes Avon Super Shock Max Mascara, Fashion 21 Double Up Mascara and Etude House Oh My Lash Mascara.
