Books I'm Reading This December

I hope you all had a wonderful November. If you want to know how mine went then make sure to click on my monthly recap entitled Goodbye November, Hello December. Today I will be sharing the Books I'm Reading This December.

DECEMBER.

OHEMGEE!!! Still can't believe we are on the last month of 2015. To be honest, I am a little anxious saying hello to the new year. I just can't believe how fast time flies by.

Anyhow I hope you'll enjoy this post. Continue reading this blog or read also my personal finance blog, SavingsPinay.

Books I've Done Reading Last Month

My Books I'll Be Reading This November was a major hit thanks to you guys! I also shared on the post my intention of including posts related to books on this blog and I hope you are liking it so far.

For November I've finished 3 out of the 4 books that I wanted to read.

Mockingjay - The last of the Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins. This is my least favorite out of the whole series and I have my full review on this link So I Finally Completed The Hunger Games Series and Here's My Review. I love her journey to The Capitol and I honestly count that as one of the best parts of this series. It ended the series quiet unexpected though with Prim's death, Snow being killed by the rebels (ate him alive), President Alma Coin's assassination care of Katniss, how the new Panem is and Peeta and Katniss as parents to two equally beautiful children. Finishing the series is most probably one proud moment for me. I am not a big fan of books that belong in a series for they are insanely long but this one's good.

Lucky - Alice Sebold did it again. A story written so beautifully you see yourself being one with the character. I've read The Lovely Bones and I shared how much I love the book and the movie adaptation too. I believe it's way harder to make a screenplay based on this book since its out of the author's own experience. I consider Lucky as a book that gives you a different perspective not just about life but also about how we view rape.

My Sister's Keeper - Probably one of my best read books for 2015. I even conclude this book to be on the top spot. I've never read a Jodi Picoult book but with this, I became an instant fan. The movie adaptation is so far from the experience you'll get reading the book. Mine was filled with yellow highlights from the great quotes and lines this book left me. The topic that this book tried to unbuckle is so huge and I love how Picoult was able to succeed with it. You will see a part of yourself from each character who are mere story-tellers telling their point of view on the current situation. The ending... that was so unexpected specially if you only watched the movie. Read this book! It's a MUST!

Here are the books I'm Reading for December

1. Last Month's Leftover - Mitch Albom's Have a Little Faith

I can't stress how much I wanted to read this book. I am crossing my fingers I get to finish this before 2015 ends.

2. The Wold of Wall Street by Jordan Belfort

I saw this book at Booksale and I immediately grabbed it and started reading. I can't get my hands off of this book. I didn't even know that it was based on a true story and a memoir book. Jordan Belfort tells the story, himself and though I am just starting with the book I found myself spending time and looking forward at the end of the day to grab the book and start reading.

3. Precious by Sapphire

I know you are all familiar with the movie and I do love the movie so much. I watched years before and when I saw the book I bought it. Based on my research the title of the book was Push when it was first published in 1996. It became Precious after the movie adaptation. I also saw that it has a sequel book entitled The Kid where the protagonist and main story teller is Precious' son Abdul. I can't wait to read the book.

4. Life of Pi by Yann Martel

I included this book in Books I'm Reading This May but sadly, I wasn't able to finish it and so I promised myself to include this on books I have to read before 2015 ends. I hope this time I'll succeed.

I hope you enjoyed today's post.
