I feel embarrassed to admit that I only started buying matte lipsticks last April 2016. Back then I don't give that much attention to lipsticks and buy whatever I feel. The outcome is my lipstick collection grew but its filled with lipsticks I don't really use and love at all.
Thankfully I outgrew my bad habit of settling to second best and started investing on good quality lip products. As a self-proclaimed obsessed with matte lipsticks I will walk you through my current collection. I know mine is too small but I am proud of it since its only been three months since I collected. Maybelline Creamy Matte in Vibrant Violet
The matte lipstick that started it all for me. When I saw the ad online about this I initially bought one. The color is too wild and won't be an "everyday" one but I still adore it. It works in giving a touch of color on a neutral look. I have a full review also up on the blog if you want to read.
Fashion21 All Day Matte in Sushi
My first matte lipstick in a local brand. I saw great reviews and swatch from fellow beauty bloggers and I fell in love. The shade All-Day bronze is the most popular one but I decided to buy the more peachy-nude shade Sushi. The packaging looks like the MAC Bullet and has this nice magnetic sound on it when you close which is music to my ears. You can read my full review here. It gets a little patchy on my lips especially if I didn't put any lipbalm.
BTLa Matte Glamour in Intense
I learned so far that I dark vampy lips match me. I saw this one time in a Beauty Treats counter and surprised by how amazing the color is. I was love at first swatch to be honest. I used this during the Blogapalooza event and it lasted pretty much through out the entire day. You can watch my review on this to see how it looks and to know my opinion on the product.
Pinkies Collection Matte Lipstick in Bark
This is part of top three in my collection. The formula of this matte lipstick is soooooo good. Bark is on a nude side and I love it on my lips. It glides super smooth, very creamy on the lips and lasts for a good 3-4 hours without retouching. I know there are other good shades in the line and I am excited to grab more of this. Their lip liners are good as well for just 99pesos.
L'oreal Paris Moist Matte Lipstick in Arabian Nights
The shade of this is very close to the BTLa Matte Glamour in Intense but the formula is very different. This is way creamier and doesn't rest on the lines of your lips. I also love the packaging of this lipstick because it looks so extravagant. Used this on a client gig for a Great Gatsby-themed event and it fits perfectly. I believe L'oreal has an on-going lipstick sale this month so better grab this shade if you are looking for a dark lip color.
Flormar Matte Lipstick in Milk Chocolate
The priciest in my current lipstick collection but definitely one of the best. I never bought any product from Flormar but thanks to the sales lady the SM Bicutan kiosk I discovered their makeup. This Flormar Matte Lipstick in Milk Chocolate is very good. It mattifies in an instant, glides extra smooth, very creamy and has minimal transfer. It accentuates the shape of my lips making it more voluptuous with one swipe. I also love how it makes a normal day extra special just like how the real milk chocolate does.
Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipstick in Red Supreme
I made a something new feature on this recently and I mentioned how doubtful I was in the shade but I am still thankful I got it. This is a nice lipstick to wear on a date night and since I am single I'll probably will reserve this on other special occasion. The color is very rich and its not too bright of a red.
Maybelline Creamy Matte Nudes in Clay Crush
Maybelline released a lot of amazing shades in the Nudes collection and Clay Crush is one of my favorite. It looks super nice on my morena skin. The formula is same with Maybelline Creamy Matte in Vibrant Violet but this is something I'll definitely wear on a daily basis. This is a total must have on my matte lipstick collection plus I got it on sale from 299pesos down to 229pesos.. a steal!!!
