It's time to recap what happened
for the month of March 2019 with side stories here and there plus things to
look forward to in the coming month.
March has been the most memorable
month so far for 2019. First, we had a free block screening for Captain Marvel
at work. Then, I attended Discipleship 2019 for the very first time which is a
yearly conference attended by leaders and interns of Victory churches in Metro
Manila. I also had my first TV interview as the blogger behind SavingsPinay.
My first hike for 2019 but also
my first twin day hike experience ever at Mt. Manalmon and Mt. Gola also
happened in March. At work we also had our first marketing event, Smart Women
Invest where we gathered bloggers, influencers and friends from the media for
an afternoon of financial wellness. We also celebrated my brother and my
nephew’s birthday before ending March with a Tagaytay wedding event.
Whew. It was busy but filled with
amazing opportunities and events I can’t wait to share the details about. Let’s
begin.

Captain Marvel Movie Screening
Instead of a company outing, our
company hosted a block screening of Captain Marvel. This was the first time the
company hosted a free movie for all employees and it was a nice experience. I
plan on watching Captain Marvel with my sisters but I opted to take advantage
of the free ticket instead.
Aside from the free movie we were
given free popcorn and snacks inside the cinema. There was also a raffle but I
didn’t win so yeah. The movie was around an hour and a half minutes long and it
had me on the edge of my seat right from the beginning. I enjoy superhero
movies especially the one produced by Marvel and I did have fun watching
Captain Marvel.
Discipleship 2019 Victory Makati
This is my first ever
discipleship conference experience. For Discipleship 2019, the theme is Equip
wherein current and upcoming Victory Group leaders gathered for a time of
praise and worship and to hear words of encouragement as we do the ministry.
Victory founding Pastor Steve
Murrell talked about spiritual maturity and
how no one will mature unless they minister. The more you do the ministry, the
more you become equipped to do God’s work. After that Victory Makati’s very own
Pastor Dennis Isleta also gave encouraging speech right after.
Unlike last year where the annual
discipleship conference was held in one venue, this year it was held in
separate Victory churches. Pastor’s Steve preaching was simultaneously shown
throughout the centers in Metro Manila which was epic by the way.
I am genuinely grateful to be in
a church community that values strong biblical foundation.

TV 5 Oplan Asenso March 16 Interview
Part of my 30 before 30 list is to be
published or appear in mainstream media and I finally tick this item off!
Yesss!
Last March 16 I did my first ever
televised interview for TV 5’s Oplan Asenso hosted by Sir Gerard de la Peña
& Ma’am Michelle Orosa-Ople. I didn’t tell anyone that I was doing an
interview because I actually only got the invitation the day before Sir Gerald
sent me a message on Facebook and at first I thought it was not true but after
seeing his profile, I said yes for the once in a lifetime opportunity.
For a first timer, I didn’t feel
that much nervousness at all. Sir Gerald and Ma’am Michelle made me feel super
welcome in the studio. I had a chance to explain how I started SavingsPinay,
why I chose personal finance as a blog niche and my saving tips for everyone.

Mt. Manalmon and Mt. Gola Twin Day Hike
First hike of 2019 officially
done!
I did my first ever twin day hike
at Mt. Manalmon and Mt. Gola together with my high school classmates Jevi (whom
I’ve been with in my past hikes at Mt. Manabu and Mt. Daraitan), Lhean and
Christopher. We also had Cha, Jevi’s church mate with us.
The last climb I did was in 2017

FAMI’s Smart Women Invest 2019
Can’t be any more blessed to be in a company that supports financial
empowerment for women! Last March 21, Smart Women Invest happened which is a
financial and investment literacy workshop specifically catered to help
Filipinas transform from savers into investors.
This is my first event as part of the Marketing Team of First Metro Asset Management Inc. (FAMI) After months of labor finally done and succeeded in conducting an all women event! A first of many more event from FAMI.
In case you missed it, I reported last month that I have a new role in the company. From a System Documentation Associate to Digital Marketing Associate! Whaaaatttt?!!! Truly God’s blessing at work.
This is my first event as part of the Marketing Team of First Metro Asset Management Inc. (FAMI) After months of labor finally done and succeeded in conducting an all women event! A first of many more event from FAMI.

Kuya and Lyron’s Birthday Celebration
My brother and my nephew, Lyron
share the same birthday, they both turn a year older every March 30! This year
we had a low-key celebration but still worthy bonding all in all.
Bella Rosa Garden Tagaytay Wedding
To wrap up the month of March, I
did have an event gig at Bella Rosa Garden Tagaytay. Team IzzaGevents became
the on the day coordinator of Sir Jerry and Ms. Jane Menil - Briones wedding
last March 30. Aside from coordination, I also did the hosting for the said
event and it feels so good to share my skills as an emcee again.
March 2019 Favorites
Beauty - I’ve been loving the Bobbie Cosmetics lipstick in Timeless Taupe so much for March. The shade suits my skin color so much. I mentioned in a past blog post how it is the perfect dupe for MAC Matte Lipstick in Taupe and it is definitely true. Now that I’ve been using the Bobbie Cosmetics in Timeless Taupe almost every single day now.
Movie or Show - Of course for March 2019 I will include Captain Marvel as my movie of the month. I had fun watching the movie with my officemates. I am still watching Friends and I am currently on Season 4.
Song - There is no song on repeat for me on the month of March except for what I have last February.

Looking Forward Next Month
Content 360 at Dusit Thani
I will be joining
the biggest digital marketing conference in the country, Content 360, this
April 6. It’s part of my training program at work and I am so excited to learn
a lot about content marketing trends and strategies worth applying.
Overnight Swimming with Team WiFun
After years I will
be reuniting with my ex-colleagues from WiFun! Makes me reminisce our Pansol experience back in 2016, which
was a definite fun by the way. So excited for this to happen.
Long Weekend with Ate Malen
We will be spending
the long weekend again at my eldest sister’s condo in Quezon City. I miss the
place so much. We had such an amazing bonding as a family for New Year’s eve
and now we have another chance to do so. I plan to read more books for April since
I wasn’t able to finish any book for March.
