November 2017

And here's what happened in December 2017

I Won in Sun Life #SINAG Awards 2017!

I never really shared this to you all, but before November ended I joined the #SINAG Financial Literacy Digital Journalism Awards 2017.

It is an annual award giving body Sun Life Financial launched to recognize bloggers and digital influencers who are helping and inspiring Filipinos to be financially responsible towards a brighter future.

After submitting my entry I just forgot about it and continued my busy month.

Come December, I received an email invitation for the awards night held in Fairmont Hotel Makati as my entry got shortlisted.

I attended the ceremony and little did I know that I will actually win, 1st Runner Up in the Digital Category! It felt so surreal to be there with other financial bloggers, journalists and enthusiasts. This year is great for SavingsPinay. Actually in my blog life as a whole.

Noel Bazaar Year 3

My third year in a row to attend the Noel Bazaar with Nica.

This is like our friendship tradition already since 2015. I’m happy with the items purchased this year because everything were functional. Among the best buy I’ve made at the bazaar were two new jeans (ripped and black high-waist), a body bag, and matching sleepwear.

Christmas and Papa's 60th Birthday Party

We had the busiest Christmas celebration ever. Unlike in the past when my Mama is usually low-key when it comes to Christmas, this year we had not just one, two but three celebrations.
First was a simple feast at home during the 24th where we manage to gather as a family and celebrate the birth of Jesus.
The following day we went to my Kuya’s home at Cavite to have our second celebration. Last July, my Kuya and his family moved to their own home in Cavite. It was a bittersweet goodbye for all of us.

New Year Celebrationn

We had a blast during the New Year. Aside from my Kuya and his family, we were all complete during the celebration. I was directly involved in all the cooking and preparation for our Media Noche. The menu I prepared that day includes Tuyo Pasta, BBQ Platter (pork, shrimp and squid), Gyoza and Fish Fillet in Tartar Sauce.

First Gala of 2018

It's been our family tradition too, to take a day off on the first day of the New Year and bond as a family.

This year we went to Festival Mall, Alabang and had an amazing night together. We had a usual coffee date, a walk tour in the Christmas Village and dinner at Chubby's Rib Shack.
