Goodbye January, Hello February 2017

It's time to recap what happened for the month of January with side stories here and there plus things to look forward to in the coming month. January started really good in my opinion. I had crossed out two of my bucket lists for 2017 and I'm pretty ecstatic to share them to you.

Bonding with Pia of www.piathought.com

Pia or www.piathought.com had our meet-up once again. It is so fun to catch up with P especially because we have so much in common. We had dinner at Nanbentei of Tokyo located at Greenbelt 3. The last time I dined here was 2015 with my eldest sister (full story here). I am really thankful for the friendship I had with Pia and I am excited for our next meet-up.

Little Tokyo with the Coffee Monday Barkada Extended

Me and the Coffee Monday Barkada went to Little Tokyo for a much needed dinner. I didn't know that Little Tokyo is just a few walks from our office. The place looks good and it really feels like you are in Japan. We settled at Yamazaki Ramen House and Grocery known for their reasonable price. Here's the link for the menu of Yamazaki.

Mt. Talamitam Hike with Armstrong

Hiking has been a big part of my 2016. I still remember how my first climb went. I had a mixture of exhaustion and  happiness climbing my very first summit. After Mt. Manabu I also hiked Mt. Daraitan and had a fun and thrilling side trips at Tinipak River and local underground cave. Surely hiking made my 2016 better.

To start the year right I knew I needed to hike once again. Mt. Talamitam proved to be the best choice.  It was a very good hiking ground for beginners. The view will remind you of Batanes with wide green pastures and drizzling wind.

DIY Intramuros + Binondo Walk Tour

I have expressed how much I wanted to do a walk tour in Intramuros and Binondo. I included these famous Manila tourist spots in my must-dos's this year and I am glad to have crossed them both at the same time early. Intramuros is such a lovely place to be for a walk tour. There are a ton of sites to take good photos and be as close to Manila's rich history. Binondo on the other hand is such a busy spot. There were soooo many people and places to see. We did a mini food crawl just to taste famous Chinese cuisine. I am still drafting the full post for this which will be uploaded next week.

Wedding Event at CVJ Clubhouse Marikina

My first event for 2017 was a wedding at CVJ Clubhouse Marikina. I had fun hosting such an elegant affair. Thank you to Mr and Mrs. Wowwie and Joana Zara-Dela Rosa for having me.

I hope you enjoyed this month's recap. Hope the start of New Year has been well for everyone.
