Goodbye December 2016, Hello 2017


Looking back over the past year, I feel so thankful for the new experiences I had and the new opportunities I have unlocked. 2016 has been such a great year for me in so many areas. I am very much satisfied with how everything went through though I know deep inside that it could have been better (Haha...here's me sabotaging myself once again). READ: My 2016 Year End Review 

I can't wait to share to you what happened to me in the last month of 2016 but before that I think it would be nice to give you the highlights of my year. 


January 2016

  • SavingsPinay hit 100,000 pageviews mark
  • Watched Pia Wurztbach's homecoming
  • First B-Bonding in 2016. Nica and I went to SM Aura and Serendra then spent an overnight at my house.

And here's what happened in December

Reached my best financial status yet

With both event hosting and freelance writing gigs I had I was able to achieve my best financial status yet. I saved and earned a lot of money. It was an overflow of financial blessings to be honest and I thank God for everything. 

Noel Bazaar Year 2 + First MAC Lipstick

It was my second year in a row to attend the Noel Bazaar with Nica. I had so much joy attending last year compared to this year. There were fewer stores unlike before and we even bought like four items only each unlike last year. I also surprisingly didn't end up buying makeup which was a miracle. I bought clothes and even shoes instead which will last me all-year long.


After the Bazaar we went to MAC Store and bought our first ever MAC product. I got a MAC Matte Lipstick in Taupe and Nica had the Matte Lipstick in Diva.


 
Papa's 60th Birthday Party

One of my bucket list for 2016 is to make sure that my Papa will celebrate his 60th birthday party with a party. I am proud to say that I was able to finance, organize and host my father's birthday. We had so much fun during the party and I am very much proud for my whole family because we were able accomplish this mission. The happiest moment for was when Papa opened his gifts and he felt so happy because it was his first time to have gifts from others. I know we were able to give our Papa something he'll cherish forever.

New Year Celebration

We had a blast during the New Year. For the first time I was directly involved in all the cooking and preparation for our noche buena. We were also incomplete during the celebration since my eldest sister has work and my other sister celebrated the New Year at her bf's side. Anyway we still had a blast ending 2016.

This became more of a tradition for our family to go outside on the first day of the New Year. This time I'm glad that we were complete. We went to Serendra and walked around the area. We also had pizza at SnR and coffee date at Krispy Kreme. I am thankful that we are able to do this at least once a year.
