5 Beauty Resolutions To Keep This 2018

A resolution is defined as a firm decision to do or not to do something.

We’re fond of making one every New Year. And honestly, I look forward for New Year because it’s the best excuse to make a list of resolutions.

On the area of finances, my resolutions this year includes:

  1. To save more than what I earn.
  2. To get stable extra income through my side hustles
  3. To diversify my investments on other vehicles and
  4. To make some milestone purchases like furniture.

But what about beauty?

Couple of years ago I made a balik-alindog post. It’s where I got accountable on what I wanted to do to be physically active.

Today, I’ll share yet another list of things I want to resolve in the area of beauty.

Here are the 5 Beauty Resolutions To Keep This 2018.

Let’s begin.

1. Drink more water

This has been a recurring beauty resolution for me, for years now. I badly needed to drinking more water and making myself healthy (and beautiful) from within.

What’s hindering me from achieving this goal?

Mere laziness.

As much as I hate to admit it, I’m very lazy when it comes to drinking water especially at work.

My desk is far from the pantry and when I’m caught up with work I literally zone out. I don’t refill my water bottle anymore until such time I remember I’m thirsty.

Nevertheless, this year I’ll be drinking more water. I’ve included this on my monthly habit tracker and also gave myself a tracker every single day on my planner.

2. Have a detailed morning and evening skincare routine

My word for 2018 is “routines”. I wanted to live this year following a set of routines that would increase my productivity and make me a better person.

Skincare routine is no exception for me. This year I want to keep everything on paper and be very detailed on my skincare routine.

For Morning Skincare;

For Evening Skincare;

  • Every other day use St. Ives Scrub

Here’s a video of my night time skincare routine:

I have made a number of posts regarding proper skincare for years. You may read the related posts below:

3. Invest in key makeup and skincare products

I actually stopped accumulating anymore new makeup unless for the sake of a blog review or brand collaboration with BeautyMNL and SilkyGirl Cosmetics.

This saved me a ton of money. And it’s good, right?

But this 2018, I felt the need to invest in key makeup and skincare products for the sake of B-E-A-U-T-Y.

I want to buy part of my beauty wish list last year especially MAC Prep and Prime Fix Mist, Becca Highlighter in Champagne Pop, Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara and the Colourpop Lippie Stix and Liquid Lipstick.

I also want to invest in vitamin c and glutathione as part of my daily essentials this year.

Surely this 2018 I will invest in key makeup and skincare products.

4. Up my mask game

In line with my detailed skincare routine in number 2, I also want to up my mask game this year.

What do I mean by that?

This 2018 I vow to wear masks on a daily basis. I know this is a big goal to set considering how lazy I can be. But I still want to try.

I’ve seen good results whenever I wear mask but doing it regularly is something I always fail to do.

To resolve this I will try to follow a schedule for wearing masks as follows:

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Clay Mask

  • Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday – Sheet Mask

These are some posts I created all about face masks:

5. Treat myself to a pamper session every now and then

I can be quite stingy when it comes to myself and my personal needs. I told you how I stopped accumulating makeup and skincare last year and tried my best to use only what I already own.

This decision is good and I don’t regret it. But, I realized I should give back to myself too. I failed to give myself some pamper session every now and then.

Whether it be a mani and pedi session, a facial or body massage, I want to do it!

Overall

New Year gives us an excuse to set some resolutions. Probably the reason why New Year is my most favorite holiday. Hopefully the list I made inspires you to keep some beauty resolutions too this 2018.
