Hi everyone! Finally, after a long time I have a new post.
Today I will be sharing my 3-step skincare routine. This skincare routine is what I have been using ever since 2022 started and I love it. It’s simple, quick, and budget-friendly. Plus, it’s derma approved when I consulted one for my adult acne situation.
If you have oily skin and you want to take a break from toners, serums, and other exfoliants to let your skin breathe then this easy 3-step skincare routine may be for you.
Step 1. Cleanser - Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Foaming Cleanser
I’ve been using the Neutrogena Deep Gentle Foaming Cleanser since last year and am about to finish my second bottle (as seen in the photo). It claims to gently remove 99% dirt while leaving the skin feeling moist. It is friendly to skin PH level and contains 8% amino micellar which cleanse deep into pores without disrupting the naturally good skin barrier.
What makes me drawn to the Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Foaming Cleanser so much is the fact that it’s a foaming cleanser. If you are a long time reader of the blog you know how much I love foaming cleansers. I love the squeaky clean feeling every single time I wash my face and this is one of the best I’ve tried.
Even with a tiny pea-sized amount of product, it lathers into a foam that is enough for the whole face up to the neck area. One bottle will last you for months!!! My face feels instantly brighter and bouncier after every use. I don’t think I’ll be replacing this anytime soon.
Here are other foaming cleansers I’ve reviewed or featured in the past:
Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Foaming Cleanser
Etude House Every Month Cleansing Foam Avocado + Butter

Step 2. Moisturizer - Luxe Organix Aloe Vera Soothing Gel
I went back to using aloe vera gel as my moisturizer and I particularly adore this Luxe Organix Aloe Vera Soothing Gel. It has arginine, an antioxidant that plays a role in repairing visible skin damage. Chamomile extract which helps tighten pores and reduce redness, something I need with active breakouts. Lastly, centella asiatica for improved hydration.
And because it’s friendly on the wallet, I can go all-out using the product. I’m a fan of the sachet as I can bring it’s more hygienic to dispense and I can easily bring it whenever I travel or visit my sister.
If you’re not a fan of aloe vera or have different reactions to it I also highly recommend Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer. It’s my forever go-to moisturizer. I don’t remember how many bottles of this A-MAZ-ING moisturizer I’ve finished. It’s actually good for students or beginners when it comes to skincare. It’s oil free, water base, fragrance free and hypoallergenic.

Step 3. Sunscreen - Vaseline Tone Up Sun Cream SPF 40
Last on this 3-step skincare routine would be sunscreen. I’ve read so many articles online including blogs about how important sunscreen is in one’s routine. Sunscreen reduces the overall UV exposure which lowers the risk of skin cancer and sun damage. If there’s a step you ought not to skip in your skincare it would be sunscreen.
Too bad, I only practiced wearing sunscreen everyday in 2018.
The Vaseline Tone Up Sun Cream SPF 40 is what I’ve been currently using almost through. I got it early this year for 50% off and I wish I bought two already because it’s too pricey. I think out of all the products in this 3-step skincare routine this is the priciest. But I swear it’s worth it. It gives the skin a tone up feeling, not sticky and dries matte. I also don’t see visible white casts that other sunscreens have.
Here are other sunscreens I’ve reviewed or featured in the past:
Vaseline Healthy Sunblock Water Resistant UV Protection Lotion
Nivea Sun Whitening Immediate Sun Protection Collagen Protect with SPF 50
Watsons Total Solution Cream with SPF 15
Price: Php 329 | Shopee
That’s it for my current skincare routine.
