I was pretty ambitious in setting myself to read one book a week for the past seven months. I fail miserably. On the best months, I finish two great books but mostly all I was left with are books in the "in progress" bin. I suffered from "reader's block" where I found myself literally unmotivated to read at all.
Then came August which is sooooo frightening because its too near to the end of the year and I knew I HAVE TO MAKE A COMEBACK. I want to read again especially now that I have more time and more reason to do so. I don't want 2016 to pass by with me still stuck on a lot of "in progress" and "unread" books.

12. Wild by Cheryl Strayed
13. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
14. The Girl on Train by Paula Hawkins
15. #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso
16. Dark Places by Gillian Flynn
17. The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo
Whew that was a massive list. Now I'd like to share to you my strategy to be able to finish each and some cool notes.
- I plan to buy one book from my To Buy and To Read List every payday so it won't hurt my budget. The books Wild and The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up are the priciest of the list so I might buy them during the 37th Manila International Book Fair this September 14-18 so I can get a discount. - My goal is to read an hour a day before bed on weekdays and to finish as many pages as possible on weekends and holidays.
- I will track the number of pages I finish on My Bullet Journal daily.
- I will not restrict myself from highlighting parts of the book especially if the lines are just too good. I will also log them on my Bullet Journal right away.
- I will be doing a "progress chart" at the side bar to update you guys of what I am currently reading and what I have finished.
- I will be doing a book review for each I finish and add it on the blog.
- I will post a "bookfie" of the book I'm currently reading with the #17BooksBefore2017
- I will enjoy the process and really just enjoy every moment I have with the books I am reading.
- Apart from the 17 Books Before 2017 I am also reading The Bible and other devotional books.
That's it. Thank you so much for reading this post. If you love the idea of 17 Books Before 2017 then maybe you could share in the comment section below what's on your list? Leave a link to your blog so I could visit you too.
