Today we will list down the best affordable concealer available in the Philippines. If you only have 500 pesos to spend which concealer is right for you?
I consider concealers as the least used makeup product in my vanity. I
rarely use concealer except when I have hosting gigs and I need go with a
full-face makeup.
Concealers are not only for the puffy eyes. It could also be used to
color correct, cover blemishes and uneven skin tone or hide your imperfections.
When it comes to concealer I go for the following criteria:
1. Creamy and easy to blend
Good concealers need to be creamy and easy to blend. I usually use the
warmth of my fingers to blend so if it shows streaks upon application, I won’t
probably use a product anymore.
2. Value for money
Good concealers are mostly pricey. Take for example MAC Pro Longwear
Concealer or the Tarte Double Tape Concealer.
But time and time again there are drugstore brands that release sulit
products worth trying. And because I am really not as keen to concealers like
others, I try to go for concealers within Php 500 limit but works really well.
3. Coverage
Of course, the biggest factor to naming a great concealer will be
coverage. I use concealer mostly to brighten my under eye area and to cover
blemishes so it has to have a good grip on it.
For me an ideal concealer should be non-cakey, non-creasy, light and
easy to set with a powder foundation.
Let's begin
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer – Php 199
If you follow me on Instagram you know how much I adore the Maybelline
Fit Me Foundation. It has been my go to foundation to every event or occasion I
attend. READ: Recent Purchase Haul (BLK Consmetics, Watson Buy 1, Take 1, etc.)
The day I bought the foundation I also got the Maybelline Fit MeConcealer which was highly recommended by top beauty bloggers I know.
Fit Me Concealer is available in a wide-range of shades and for
someone who continuously commit mistakes on selecting the wrong shade, this is
good news.
You will be sure to find the perfect match for your skin tone!
It has a buildable medium coverage that can either cover your eye bags
or highlight your under eye area. For
Php 399 this is honestly a good concealer to have on your makeup collection.
Suesh Concealer and Corrector Pots – Php 90
Concealer for Php 90 only?
You bet!
Suesh Concealer and Corrector Pot is available for those who want to
build their first concealer palette on a budget.
They have a vast collection of different concealer shades and not to
mention color corrector pots!
I have previously owned (review here) a Suesh Concealer in C210 and it was
amazing. It really made a huge difference plus I even use it as a primer before
eyeshadow!
The texture is super creamy and provide full coverage. It also spreads
easily like butter so you won’t have a problem even if you just use your
fingers to apply!
LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer – Php 299
The LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer also comes in different shades.
Unlike the above mentioned concealers, the LA Girl has a soft brush tip
applicator at the top of the squeezy tube making it a perfect companion for
those on-the-go!
This packaging has cons of course because the brush tends to eat up
the product in the long run. Above all, it is not as hygienic as it supposed to
be.
The LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer has got to be the creamiest and
thickest in consistency among the concealers in this list.
I highly recommend it for those who are looking for coverage or a
cream contour product.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser – Php 299
It took years before the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser became
available in the Philippines. I remember watching a ton of YouTube videos and
this concealer has always been part of their Holy Grail products
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser is created mainly for the under
eye area. It has a roller cushion at the tip which reminds me so much of the
Garnier Light Eye Roll On I used to own.
The best thing about this type of concealer is that they are always
easy to use. If you need something that could lift up your tired eyes all you
have to do is roll and blend the product.
Wet N’ Wild Photo Focus Concealer - Php 399
The Wet N’ Wild Photo Focus line is probably the most awaited in the
Philippine market. With the promise of achieving that perfect “selfie” without
the white casts.
If you are looking for a perfect consistency and formula, not to
mention coverage on a budget then this Wet N’ Wild Photo Focus Concealer is a
great buy.
The color selection and packaging will instantly remind you of the
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealers. The available shades are as follows:
- Light Ivory
- Light/Med Beige
- Medium Tawny
- Medium Peach
- Med/Deep Tan
- Dark Cocoa
Overall
I think every girl must own at least one Holy Grail concealer in their vanity. We all have those days when we want to skip foundation but still look pretty. A good concealer will definitely make that happen! Any of the above concealers I mentioned is worth the money!
