EB Matte Color Stick in DollFace Review

I’ve mentioned this time and time again, but yes, I used to hate blush. I’ve always felt that they don’t suit me especially with my morena complexion.

The rise of lip and cheek tint such as KJM Lip and Cheek Tint in Bittersweet Magenta and the Ever Bilena Lip and Cheek Tint changed my perception about blushes. Finally, I can wear blush without looking like a clown.

Then Sunnies came out with clay blushes (also known as cream blushes) called Airblush, famous for giving cheeks a healthy and dewy finish. I remember falling in love at first sight with the shade Biscuit but couldn’t justify spending Php 450 for a single blush.

But lo and behold, Ever Bilena finally released their own version of the multi-purpose cream blush and they are only for a fraction of a price. Yay!

I’ve been meaning to share my review of EB Matte Color Stick in Dollface ever since I got it months ago so let’s begin.

Product Information

The EB Matte Color Stick is a multi-purpose lip and cheek-to-eyes creamy matte color stick.

Price

The EB Matte Color Stick sells for Php 195. It is available in three colors Rosy Hue, After-Party and Dollface.

My Experience

The EB Matte Color Stick in Dollface is such a pretty shade. It’s the closest I can get to Sunnies Airblush in Biscuit. The shade suits me and give me this glowy, drunk blush effect I adore. Even if sometimes I overdo my blush, it doesn’t look bad. It will still look like a natural flush on the cheeks.

I’ve always been fascinated with the “drunk blush” effect and couldn’t believe it can suit me.

HOW I APPLY. I apply the product directly on my cheeks by simply drawing a line in each cheek. Then, I take a damp sponge and blend the product until I am contented with the color it gives. Sometimes, I seal the color with a bit of a powder blush like City Color Matte Blush in Sunset Safari.

SWATCH. At first I thought the shade Dollface looks too much but when blended, you will definitely appreciate the color more. I can describe it as a peachy shade that will remind you of summer blush. The brick red shade actually appears more natural on the skin especially for morenas.

Although the EB Matte Color Stick is meant as a multi-purpose stick I can’t seem to make it work for the rest of my face like eyes and lips. It doesn’t blend well and give any color at all. So I simply stopped trying and use the stick mainly as a blush.

What I Love about the Product?

  • It’s cheap
  • It comes with an easy and handy packaging
  • The product is very creamy and blendable
  • Amazing pigment with just one swipe
  • It lasts for hours on the cheeks especially when sealed with a powder blush

What I Don’t Love?

  • Limited shades only.

Overall

I am glad how Ever Bilena is stepping up its game when it comes to makeup. The drunk blush trend is here to stay and knowing that there is a product out there like the EB Matte Color Stick in Dollface is A-MAZ-ING. I personally really like the drunk blush on me and have taken multiple selfies with it.
