Here are Three Blushes for Morenas Like Me

According to this post in a Life Hacker, a blush is a soft pigment available in powders or creams meant to mimic the natural flush of your face, making your complexion look more healthy and vibrant.

When I started loving and collecting makeup, I wasn’t paying much attention on the blushes. On my mind, a blush never works on my skin. I always feel like I’m too dark to wear one. It will never get noticed anyway so why bother?!

But I know every makeup collection deserves at least one blush. Through the years, I found these three blushes that works perfectly for any skin tone specially, morenas. All of them are cheap and easily available in the Philippine market.

Let’s begin!

City Color Be Matte Blush in Sunset Safari

I will never forget how I got love at first swatch with this gigantic pan of a blush from City Color.

The Be Matte Blush collection comes in 12 different shades ideal for all skin tone. This Sunset Safari will definitely caught your attention because it looks intense yet the strong pigmentation allows you to apply lightly for an elegantly subtle glow.

I really adore this color which reminds me of the current drunk blush trend.

City Color Be Matte Blush in Sunset Safari is one of the few makeup product I bought that really gave me a "wow" moment every time. This blush is soooooo good!!! It is so pigmented but easy to control and to blend.

I used to wear this blush whenever I have hosting stints but now even at work I still wear it occasionally.

Nichido True Colors in Cool Rum

If you are looking for budget friendly blush to start your makeup collection, I highly suggest you check out Nichido’s True Color Blush collection.

The price is just Php 88 and you already get to own a decent size of blush. Plus, the shade range is not bad too.

Cool Rum definitely resembles ELF’s Blush in Sta. Lucia. It is that perfect rosy shade with tiny gold shimmer. The shade is a go to if you want that blushing cheeks.

I am not the biggest fan of blush with shimmer because I have oily skin but with a good foundation, this Nichido True Colors in Cool Rum stays well. It is as if you have a blush and highlighter in one.

This is not ideal for drunk blush trend but will definitely do for date nights!

Nichido True Colors in Tomato

I discovered this blush through my workmate. I always see her wearing such a beautiful matte peach blush at work. I never guessed what she was wearing was just Php 88 because it looked so good on her.

Nichido True Colors in Tomato has been my everyday go to blush ever since my workmate revealed to me its existence. It’s matte, pigmented enough and blends well with brush. I enjoy using the slanted blush brush from Landmark as always.

This is that one blush which I am not that afraid to use because it’s that good.

That’s it for my top three blushes for morena skin.

Which among the three is your favorite?
