Belo Intensive White Soap Review

Hi and welcome to my blog. If you miss the last item that I reviewed make sure to click HERE. I created an in-depth review of what's inside the Bench Perfect Skin Whitening Kit.

From the last product review that I created you may have noticed that I have found a love affair on skin whitening soaps. Last year a big chunk of my blog pageviews are from those who viewed my All about CY Gabriel Soap post. Now I know some of you will raise an eyebrow for me using skin whitening soaps as I have to love my own skin. But just to explain and put a little disclaimer, here are the reasons why I am into whitening products:

  • I have childhood scars on my arms and legs. I got those marks from larong-bata and also from insect bites that I have a habit of scratching. Because of that I got very insecure and will not wear shorts for A LONG TIME. I just brought back the confidence of wearing shorts and dressing up when I started to get whiter because the marks lighten up and also as I grow older and bigger, my skin stretches.
  • Because of the above, I definitely have an uneven skin tone. If you've been watching my videos before you will know how I select wrong shades of foundation because  1. I am trying hard to be a beauty vlogger and 2. I personally am confused of my skin tone. Even today I still consider myself morena but since my legs were hidden from the sun for a very long time, they are extremely whiter than the rest of my body. My arms on the other hand suffers from old and fresh bite marks and because I also suffered from chickenpox. My face will sometimes look whiter but other time look so morena. All I wanted is to even out my skin and since whitening is the only option available, I am into it as long as its safe and taken slowly but surely.

As of today I still don't have the confidence to wear shorts or dresses, partly the reason why my OOTDs doesn't involve showing my legs that much, unless I am just in the neighborhood. I do feel extremely happy because over time, the whitening soaps and lotions I use are helping me a lot. And this post is dedicated to my latest product discovery... The BELO INTENSIVE WHITE SOAP.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

The Belo Community brings you its most intensive whitening bar yet.

The combination of Kojic Acid and Tranexamic Acid that is clinically proven to whiten 64% better than products that use Kojic Acid alone.

  • Proven to inhibit the production of melanin
  • Effectively lightens stubborn dark spots
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Clinically proven

For Best Results (Belo suggestions, can be found at the back of the packaging):

  1. Discontinue other whitening brands one week prior to use as this may not be compatible with Belo Whitening Bar.
  2. Use twice daily for the face and body. There may be slight stinging and itching as the actives work in exfoliating the skin.
  3. If prolonged irritation occurs, discontinue use.
  4. Use with Belo Essentials Whitening Lotion especially if you have very dry skin.

INGREDIENTS

Major ingredients are:

Kojic Acid, an organic compound, is proven to prevent melanin production. It is the most popular whitening agent used in Japan.

Tranexamic Acid, a peptide, is proven toinhibit inflammation and melanin formation. It is ideal for stubborn dark spots that do not respond to other skin lightening ingredients.

PACKAGING:

The soap is well packed on a white and orange combination box. I love that it has a unique style when you open up as seen in the photo below. There is also a note written in the packaging that varies in every soap. I feel like this adds so much personality to the Belo Intensive White Soap. Do you agree or disagree? Comment below!!!

PRICE:

The soap weighs 65grams packed for 66pesos on Watsons. If you buy in Landmark beauty sections it only retails for 59pesos!

PRODUCT TEST AND SHOTS:
The soap itself is very similar to every Kojic Soap out there. It has a vibrant orange in color. It is much more thinner than the 3in1 Kojic Soap you'll also find in Watsons but I believe much similar to the Kojie San Soap.

I am currently on my second box of this soap and I was actually planning of finishing a third box but I felt like that will take much more time and waiting so anyways I finally did it.

I put this directly on my skin first and then right after I use a towel to scrub. I do feel a stinginess and intchiness every now and then and I believe that's a sign that the product is sinking into your skin and taking its effect. I let it stay on my skin for a good 2-3 minutes or sometimes just when a favorite song of mine in my playlist ended. By that time I rinse thoroughly.

I experienced extra dryness when I used Kojie San soaps way back so I feel like it would be the same in this soap. Honestly, I can say that my skin feels drier in Kojie San than this.

As of this writing (again, on my second bar already) I use my Nivea Intensive White Lotions one on the morning and one at night. Both lotions helped me in having a much more moisturized skin.

A big reveal in this post that I noticed. When I put my lotion on, there are dead skin cells coming off. If you are using this Belo Intensive White Soap then please comment below if you expereince the same thing.

WHAT I LOVE:

  • It awesomely works. Its way faster and better in my opinion than CY Gabriel though CY Gabriel Pink Soap has the advantage of being more budget friendly than the Belo.
  • It makes me feel so clean afterwards. I guess since this is like an exfoliationg bar too, I feel squeky clean after I shower and who does not love the feeling of being fresh and clean?!
  • Can be used in both face and body.
  • It is not too drying than I thought it would be. There are times when I forget to put lotion on my body but still my arms and legs feel nice and soft.
  • Removes dead skin cells. Again based on my experience I can see dead skin cells when I put my lotion on and for me its a good thing. This means that my skin has a room to rejuvinate after every shower.
  • Results will show in just 7 days. I may not be able to show photos to you guys as I don't have the best equipment to do so and give justice to how the soap whiten my skin but in my honest opinion, without any other whitening product, this alone WORKS. When you go out of the house and with the natural light, you'll notice the difference.

WHAT I DON'T LOVE?

Being the frugal me, I consider the price a bit off the friendly mark considering the fact that it melts easily. A bar lasted for nearly 2weeks only.

WILL I REPURCHASE?

Yes. I need a half my way on my second bar and to be honest I am excited to buy the thrid one. Of you happen to read my CY Gabrield Soap review you know that I meantioned that I have hiyang factor after using two soaps meaning I can't see the effect already on my third and has to stop for awhile. I hope that that case won't happen to the Belo Intensive Whitening Soap since I am very much loving the effect it gives. I am going to do my update after I finish my third bar :)

Additional Tips:

Wear a sunscreen lotion if you have.
Hydrate yourself with water. Remember that good skin comes from within.

I really do hope that enjoyed this post! Have you tried this soap yet? Did you experience the same effect as mine?!
