Today’s post is dedicated to the newest Ever
Bilena Matte Liquid Lipsticks. I love Ever Bilena as a brand. I think most of
us, Pinays, grew up with one or more Ever Bilana product in our makeup
collection.
I remember the hype of their matte lipsticks
and how I find myself saving every 20-peso I can to buy one. Sadly I bought the
wrong shade for my skin tone and ended up having a trauma on EB lipsticks. It took the release of EB LTD lipstick for me
to have the courage and try again. Fortunately, I found the EB LTD in CashmereBlush great for days when I want a pop of color on my lips.
Seeing photos from my Instagram feed made
me WANT to buy the newest EB Matte Liquid Lipsticks. So last Friday I decided
to purchase at least two from the massive collection – Toast of New York and Dusk.

matte lipstick counterpart. They work as the liquid version of the said
lippies.

You will get 5.5ml of product for the price of
185pesos per piece.
My Experience
I enjoy a good liquid lipstick especially on
days when I want to liven up my mood. However, I’m not that experimental when
it comes to picking shades. I always go with the usual nude to brownish red
colors that compliments my morena skin
a lot.
I was about to get Siennas because I saw good swatches
online but it was sold out. The Ever Bilena Matte Liquid Lipstick in Toast of
New York and Dusk were the next best option for me in the collection.
HOW I APPLY. I apply this directly on a
moisturized lips. One swipe is enough to cover the entire lips but I go over
again just to bring the color more.
I do love the simple packaging of the EB Matte
Liquid Lipsticks. You can easily see the colors on the glass packaging, the lid
is in matte which adds sophistication on the whole look. Seeing the color
selection up close and personal will make you buy one, promise!
The doe foot
applicator is also good as it applies the matte lip cream effortlessly. It
honestly applies better than the Shawill Matte Liquid Lipstick thanks to the
precise and well-made doe foot applicator.

SWATCHES. The color selection for the EB Matte
Liquid Lipsticks is amazing as there is one for every skin tone! It dries
quickly upon application but you can still layer the liquid lipstick if you
want. The whole process reminds me so much of the Silky Girl Cosmetics MatteJunkie Lip Creams.
The lip creams also oxidize on me after a few
minutes. Both Toast of New York and Dusk will appear one to two shades darker as
it settles on my lips. But because the shades are lovely I don’t really mind at
all.
Have I mention the smell? Some says that there
is no smell at all on these lip creams but I beg to disagree. I once bought an
SG Authentic NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream and the smell actually reminds me of that.
Nothing too disturbing though and definitely fades once everything is on the
lips already.
FORMULA. If you are looking for an affordable liquid
lipstick that will stay on for HOURS, then these Ever Bilena Matte Liquid
Lipsticks are perfect for you. I love the quick-dry formula since I am always
on a hurry. It does survive amidst the drinking and eating you will do on a day.
It doesn’t feel heavy on the lips at all and I can vouch for that.
I tried pressing and closing my lips to see if
the liquid lipstick will move but it A-MA-ZINGLY did not! There is no damage
done on the lips. I don’t have any high end liquid lipstick to compare from but
among all the local liquid lipstick in my current collection, the EB Matte
Liquid Lipsticks in Toast of New York and Dusk come on the top spot. They are
only 185pesos but perform really well.

Overall
It is nice that Ever Bilena is leveling up in
terms of lip products as a girl can never have too much lipstick on her
collection, right?! I highly recommend this Matte Liquid Lipsticks for college
students and professionals who like me, are looking for budget friendly items.
I’ll probably add this on my under 250 pesos makeup list!
