Goodbye June, Hello July 2018

It's time to recap what happened for the month of June with side stories here and there plus things to look forward to in the coming month.
Just like March 2018, I also skipped a monthly recap for May. My travel to Seoul became the highlight of my month already so I didn’t really bother creating a traditional end-of-the-month post anymore.
June is nothing but a great month for me. There are several great happenings, from little things to major events that made my 2018 even better. I am so excited to narrate to you how my month went!

Attended a Surprise Bridal Shower

The first event of June was the bridal shower of my cousin’s fiancée.

It was the first bridal shower I’ve been a part of so I was totally excited. We spent the night at Music 21 eating and singing throwback songs.

Before the bridal shower I only interact with my cousin’s fiancée on Facebook. It was nice meeting her in person and knowing her bubbly personality.

Long Weekend at Viera Residences

Finally, another long weekend spent at Viera Residences. I totally missed the place of my eldest sister and not to mention the pool!

With the Eid’l-Fitr, it was a long weekend for me and I thought it would be nice to relax and have sort of staycation. Thankfully, there’s always Viera to the rescue. Couldn’t thank enough my eldest sister for accommodating us over the weekend.

I actually went with my younger sister and only pamangkin which added more excitement!

Celebrating Father’s Day 2018

Last year’s Father’s Day celebration was a bit low key for us. Unlike this year, we manage to have dinner at Kenny Rogers as a family.
I’ve always have a softer heart towards my father and I feel grateful for the opportunity to celebrate these kind of celebrations together.
Too bad my brother and his family couldn’t join since it was already start of class for my pamangkin.

Tolibas – Lopez Wedding

Another happening for June was the actual wedding of my cousin. I was part of the entourage which was a first for me.
It was a beautiful wedding highlighted by the cheerful spirit of my Kuya Chad and his now wife Ate Angel. They just bloom towards the whole event.
Aside from me, my brother, my pamangkin, and my father were also part of the entourage. It was such a memorable family affair for the whole Montes Clan and I am really happy to be a part of.

Things I'm Looking Forward for July

My sister and my Mom's Birthdays

My elder sister will celebrate her birthday on July 3 while my mother will turn 59 this July 6. It would be a double celebration I am pretty much excited to be with.

Mid-Year Prayer and Fasting, Victory Weekend

There are two major church activities happening in the month of May for Victory Makati. First is the Mid-Year Prayer and Fasting which will take place from July 3 to July 5. Next is the Victory Weekend this July 13 and July 14.

I've joined a Prayer and Fasting before but I only did a social media fast. This time I am praying for bigger things and breakthroughs and wanted to sanctify myself more in Christ by doing the one meal a day. This maybe difficult but I know through Christ nothing is impossible.

For the Victory Weekend, I am pretty much excited because I am currently handling my first One2One in years. I am excited for her Victory Weekend! I will also be attending the Making Disciples Class during the second day of the Victory Weekend which is awesome!

How did the month of June went for you?
