Healthy Options Haul - Vitamins for Immunity and Beauty

Hi all!

Before the community quarantine happened and as the COVID-19 situation started to develop in the country, I was able to visit Healthy Options and buy some much needed vitamins.

I don’t really shop that much at Healthy Options anymore, but I remember purchasing some of my holy grail skincare products from them before - Dickinson's Witchhazel Toner and Julep Mint Face Mask. Both became staples in my vanity circa 2015 to 2016.

Here are the vitamins for immunity and beauty I bought:

Vitamin C Plus Rose Hips

From the label - Vitamin C is considered a “staple” in any supplement routine. It's powerful antioxidant properties, ability to promote healthy skin, and support of the immune system contribute greatly to overall health.

With the COVID-19 scare all around us, strengthening the immune system is just necessary. I’ve tried the Healthy Options Vitamin C before in capsule form and it worked really well for me. However, there were no stocks when I visited so I opted for the tablet form.

Each tablet form has 500mg Vitamin C plus 15mg of Rose Hips. Rose Hips are rich in antioxidants and boost the immune system. It also helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. And a big plus is it keeps the skin healthy and wrinkle free.

Price - Php 565 for 100 tablets

Vitamin A and D

From the web:  Vitamin A is commonly associated with eye health but it turns out that it does wonders for skin health, too. Vitamin A has antioxidants, which can protect the skin from damaging free radicals. It’s also a source of retinol, which has been shown to have anti-aging effects. Vitamin D, on the other hand,  helps manage inflammation, which leads to skin problems like irritation, eczema, atopic dermatitis, and acne.

I wasn’t really planning on buying this product but while browsing on the Healthy Options shelves I was surprised that this vitamin is priced for Php 410 only.

While I was researching for immune boosters, Vitamin A and Vitamin D come up the most in the results. Glad that Healthy Options have one that already has both the said supplement for a fraction of the price.

Price - Php 410 for 100 softgels

Vitamin Collagen Complete

From the website -  Collagen is important for the structure and function of connective tissues that forms skin, cartilage, ligaments & other tissues and organs together. Collagen production naturally declines as we age causing the telltale signs of aging to appear such as very thin, dry and wrinkled skin.

Healthy Options Collagen Complete offers collagen types I, II, & III with chondroitin sulfate and hyaluronic acid to fully support the health and growth of connective tissues. It also provides Vitamin C that is essential in collagen synthesis.

Additional antioxidants from red wine and grape seed extracts help prevent cell damage and consequent aging that is caused by free radical damage.

I am excited with the Collagen Complete upon seeing the beauty video reviews of Kikay Si Kat and Ginger Arboleda. They both experienced a huge difference in their skin taking the vitamin every day for 30 days.

Since I am experiencing texture on my face, I really wanted to treat it from the inside and not just rely on skincare products. Collagen is a big beauty ingredient so I got sold for real finding out you can actually take a supplement for it.

Price - Php 1360 for 90 capsules

How I’m consuming these supplements, you may ask?

For Vitamin C, I am taking two tablets a day, everyday. For Vitamin A and D, I take one  softgel capsule a day.

The Vitamins C, A and D, I take together after lunch.

For Collagen Complete, I take one capsule of this before sleeping.

My boss informed me after that when you download the Healthy Options App you can actually get a Php 50 rebate for every Php 1000 you purchase. Sayang! But for sure on my next visit I will follow this.

That’s it for my Healthy Options Haul.

I hope everyone stays safe during these challenging times.
