My 5 Step Pamper Night Skincare Routine

Today I’m sharing to you My 5 Step Pamper Night Skincare Routine.

This routine is something I strive to do every Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening. Or whenever I feel like my skin needs some tender loving care.

Skincare is one way I incorporate self-care in my busy life. A good pampering before bed time goes a long way.  It relaxes your mind and makes you feel beautiful in the inside and outside.

I love this routine because of its simplicity.  You only need five products and the result will already amaze you so let’s begin!

STEP 1 and 2: DOUBLE CLEANSE

I try to always double cleanse in the evening.

This is something I learned and became a fan of ever since I discovered the Korean skincare regimen.

I find that when I double cleanse my face is much more prepared for toning and moisturizing.

If I have makeup on, I first cleanse my face using makeup remover. I either use an oil based like Biore Cleansing Oil which is part of my BeautyMNL Haul. I also love micellar water and the one I am current using is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.

If I don’t have any makeup on I mostly skip the remover and go with whichever ever face cleanser I am currently using. In the photo – Celeteque Brightening Facial Wash. I am not mapili when it comes to cleansers and my face rarely react when I switch from Product A to Product B which is good. What I aim out of my water-based cleanser is that squeaky clean feeling. Other cleansers I recommend - Avon 360° Illuminating White Foam Cleanser and Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Cleanser.

To help remove any dirt and debris left on the face I put a good amount of Eskinol Pimple Fighting Facial Deep Cleanser on a cotton pad and clean my face and neck area further.

STEP 3: EXFOLIATE

At times when I feel ugly and the texture of my skin seems off, I exfoliate.

I love how it reveals a smoother and softer looking skin, minimizes pores and helps giving you a brighter complexion.

Just make sure you are only doing this 2-3 times a week only as to not over dry your skin.

The very first scrub I fell in love with is the St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I like it because the smell is soooo addicting plus the texture of the beads/grains is not as hard on the skin. I believe this product should be part on every Pinay’s skincare routine.

Currently I am using Skinfood Black Sugar Exfoliating Wash-Off Face Mask. I got this when I went to South Korea last May and it is worth every penny! I scoop about a size of a one peso coin and scrub around my face on a circular motion. When I feel like the sugar grains are already dissolved I stop and wash my face. I love how it always leave my skin soft and supple.

STEP 4: MASKS

I’ve said it before and I say it once more - There’s nothing more perfect than a good clay mask after exfoliating your face!

I actually live for this step alone during My 5 Step Pamper Night Skincare Routine.

Clay masks are widely known to help draw impurities when applied. Although it is a lot messier and requires washing the face afterwards it is still good and highly recommended for those who want smaller and tighter pores. It makes skin more supple and refreshed without drying it.

My eldest sister gifted me a tub of Lush’s Mask of Magnaminty which I seriously love! This has been my very first Lush product and I maximize every ounce of it on my skincare routine. I apply this right after washing off the face scrub I used. The effect of this mask is so A-MAZ-ING! I certainly enjoy the cooling sensation it provides upon application. I noticed that whenever I use this my skin feels less oily in the morning. Pores are also tightened which is something I definitely need help with.

Here are the Must Try Masks in the Philippines for more recommendation.

 STEP 5: MOISTURIZE

Last on My 5 Step Pamper Night Skincare Routine is moisturizer.

This step seals every step of the routine together. I do this because it helps me wake up to a beautiful, radiant and refreshed skin the morning after.

The Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel serves dual purpose for me. I use it both as a moisturizer and sleeping mask. I just splatter a tablespoon or two all over the face, sleep on it and wake up fresh and fabulous the next day! I enjoy this because it’s budget-friendly and really help a lot when it comes to hydration.

That’s it for my nighttime skincare routine!
