New Skincare Products I’ve Been Trying

skincare-products-on-trial

Today I will be sharing the new skincare products I’ve been trying.

I count 2020 as the worst year in terms of my skin. I suffered from acne and until today I don’t even know what caused it. My face reacts differently to skincare products I used to enjoy using. And so I promised myself to invest some more on skincare products until I see some improvements.

St. Ives Scrub

First things first, the St. Ives Scrub in Coffee and Coconut and Apricot variants. I saw this on the Buy 1 Take 1 section of Hi-Top Supermart and couldn’t miss the chance. I’ve known St. Ives as a brand for years and include it mostly on my past posts.

Because my skin is just getting better, I only exfoliate once every other week. I first see how my face will react and kind of put it on a healing process before I use it again. So far this product and set up works for me.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

I purchased The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% because of the great reviews I’ve found online. This is the first ever The Ordinary product I purchased.

At first week I thought my skin was reacting differently because of the serum. I actually thought I bought a fake one because my face got red and I got these pustules around the cheeks. Thankfully, I found a video on YouTube about analyzing fake vs. authentic The Ordinary product.

To cut the story short, I got mine correctly and it’s probably my face reacting to the product.

Anyways, I stopped it for three days and kind of got back to it afterwards and now it’s working well for me. The pustules slowly fade away as well as the redness.

Nivea Cream Moisturizer

This is another product I used to own and kind of forgot already not until I saw a post of how it resembles the La Mer Moisturizing Cream. I’ve been using this moisturizing cream as a night cream two to three times a week. I thought of using it every single day but I saw a post of how it is not ideal for oily skin.

Luxe Organix AHA BHA Miracle Solutions Cleanser

You may remember my post about the new Luxe Organix AHA BHA skincare line. Finally got myself one item from the product line which is the Luxe Organix AHA BHA Miracle Solutions Cleanser.

I was supposed to get the AHA BHA Miracle Solutions Emulsion but since I already have the The Ordinary Niacinamid 10% + Zinc 1% I thought it would be redundant. At first use, I didn’t like the Luxe Organix AHA BHA Miracle Solutions Cleanser because I am more into foamy cleansers. But since it’s effective for me I continue using it.

Overall

Thank you for reading until the end of this post. I will try to make a post for each skincare product and how my face reacted to them after a good month or so.
