If you follow my blog, you will know that I enjoy lipsticks. I used to wear one every day to work.
Matte lipsticks are my favorite and I had a few I collected over the years. Because of the pandemic, I don’t wear as much lipstick anymore. It doesn’t matter anyway since I’ll be in a face mask all the time.
Anyway, one of my big plans for 2021 is to declutter my makeup collection. There are a number of lipstick in my collection that I don’t wear anymore and/or are sitting on my vanity for too long.
So, before I make the big decluttering this year allow me to first share my current lipstick collection in this post.
In my collection I have a total of 31 lipsticks. 12 of which are liquid lipsticks and the rest are matte lipsticks.

Now allow me to share backstory on some of the important lipsticks in my collection.
Maybelline Matte Ink in Delicate
On top of my best find for lipsticks is the Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in Delicate. Wow. This liquid lipstick and shade is definitely the most flattering formula and color I’ve ever tried. Even though the color is on the pink side, I can wear it effortlessly every single day.
I had people compliment me whenever I wear this liquid lipstick because it just gives the most natural pink toned lipstick that doesn’t seem off for someone with more skin tone. Super love this liquid lipstick.
Pinkies Collection Matte Lipstick in Bark
I have my full respect and recommendation with this Pinkies Collection in Bark. It is the creamiest formula ever. The color payoff is amazing and just the shade itself is “LIFE”. I receive a number of compliments whenever I use them. It is simple yet amazing on the lips.

Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Clay Crush and Nude Nuance
A lipstick bullet I loved so much are Maybelline’s Creamy Matte Lipsticks. I have two shades in my collection Clay Crush and Nude Nuance.
I love the color payoff of this product. They compliment my skin tone perfectly. They glide rich and smooth almost like butter on lips. They don’t dry fully matte but what I do is pat with a tissue paper and re-apply. For Php 299 (even less if there’s discount) you get a nice lip color good for everyday.
Bobbie Cosmetics Matte Lipsticks in Timeless Taupe and Browny Bounty
Bobbie Cosmetics is just one of the best local makeup lines that I have tried. They produce quality products that’s why I can’t help but blog about them from time to time.
If you haven’t tried their lipsticks, then I highly recommend that you get one. Their matte lipsticks are some of the best I’ve ever tried. I even blogged about how the Bobbie Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Timeless Taupe is a super close dupe to MAC’s Matte Lipstick in Taupe. You can read all about that here.
The Bobbie Cosmetics Matte Lipsticks are so creamy and pigmented. They also smell nice. They are so affordable but the quality compares to that of expensive makeup brands.
MAC Lipsticks in Mehr and Taupe
In 2017, I bought my first ever MAC Lipsticks. It was MAC in Taupe and I quickly added a new one within a couple of months, same year. I got the MAC in Mehr.
The idea that I will buy lipstick that cost Php 1050 sounds ridiculous and I even say to myself that I will never buy a lipstick of that price level not even above Php 500. But, there’s something about buying your first MAC product that stays with you for years.
Like a fulfilling feeling that you got yourself something luxurious. I will surely add to my collection soon.
MAC Matte Lipstick in Taupe can be described as muted reddish-taupe brown. It's like applying a brown lipstick with a red undertone. I love how smooth the application can be with this lipstick. It slides ever so flawlessly on my lips. Because it is a matte finish it can be a little drying overtime but nothing that a good lip balm can combat.
MAC Matte Lipstick in Mehr is such a good my lips but better lipstick and I’m finally using it now more than ever. It's pinkish to mauve-ish color is so beautiful. It provides dimension on the lips making it look fuller upon use. I think the color works well for a simple date makeup too.
