Recent Purchase Haul - Happy Skin, L'oreal, EB Advance, etc.

During my visit with my sister in Quezon City, we went to Robinsons Magnolia. I maximized the rare times I’m out to finally purchase new makeup. I went to Robinsons Department Store and was surprised that the makeup section offered 50% off sale.

I’ve been meaning to buy new makeup since the last time I updated my vanity was before the pandemic happened. Most of the makeup I have in my vanity has already expired and is causing me skin issues. Now that I’m filming YouTube videos again and doing webinars, doing my makeup has been inevitable.

So, lucky me to have bought most of the items on sale. Yay!

Without further ado, here are the items I picked up.

Happy Skin On the Glow Instant Complexion Perfector Moisturize + Blend - Soft Beige

As soon as we got off Robinsons Department Store, I saw a Happy Skin kiosk and found out they have items on sale. It was my first time to try out Happy Skin as a brand and I already read and watched tons of great reviews online about them.

The first item I bought was the Happy Skin On the Glow Instant Complexion Perfector Moisturize + Blend. The store lady was kind enough to test one at the back of my hand and it was perfect. I love how dewy the foundation is and the subtle coverage it provides. I thought it would be a great everyday foundation. The only shade available was Soft Beige and it matched me well.

Price - Php 299 from Php 1099.

Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me in Indulge Me

Another product I bought is the Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me in Indulge Me. Years ago when this was first released I really wanted to get one but it was out of my budget. Finally, I got it on sale!

Happy Skin’s Shut Up and Kiss Me is so moisturizing. To think that it was a matte lippie but it doesn’t give me chapped lips. I love the ultra-matte finish and the shade Indulge Me is great for everyday use. The color payoff is amazing as well.

Price - Php 199 from Php 649.

Nichido True Color Powder Blush in Cool Rum and Tomato

Back when I was in college, I would always have a backup of Nichido’s True Color Powder Blush. They were less than Php 100 and always available in Department Stores.

The price is just Php 88 and you already get to own a decent size of blush. Plus, the shade range is not bad either. I have always loved the Cool Rum because it really suits my skin complexion but this time I also bought the shade Tomato.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Powder in Natural Beige

Another 50% off sale I got was Maybelline’s Fit Me Matte and Powder in Natural Beige. I used to own press powders from Maybelline and they are truly a delight for makeup enthusiasts on a budget. The Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Powder comes with a mirror and a sponge inside. I love how compact this makeup is and it’s something I can bring and use to work.

Price - Php 179 from Php 349

L'oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise

I picked up L’oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise and it was my first time to try a mascara from L’oreal. I’m happy that this product was on sale. I’ve read and watched some reviews about it and because it was on 50% off sale too I didn’t pass the opportunity to try it. The rose gold packaging is so beautiful. I actually already tried this mascara at work and I love that it doesn’t clamp that much. It separates the lashes well.

Price - Php 299 from Php 549

L’oreal Infallible Concealer in Amber

One of my top under eye concealers ever is L’oreal Infallible Concealer. It’s such a great full-wear mascara that I use almost everyday before work. What I love most about this concealer is it gives such flawless coverage. Blending it on the skin is easy too, it’s waterproof and I really enjoy using this concealer instead of foundation or BB cream because I can spot conceal.

Happy to get a new L’oreal Infallible Concealer for half the price.

EB Advance Face Trio and EB Lip and Cheek Roller

Following the stroll at all the sale sections, I saw this Php 143 sale of Ever Bilena. You can buy three items for only Php 143. I was shocked because part of the options is the EB Advance Face Trio, a bronzer, blush, and highlight palette. I got the EB Advance Face Trio and two of the EB Lip and Cheek Roller. For the longest time, I’ve been using the KJM Lip and Cheek Tint in Bittersweet Magenta and I knew I needed to either buy a new one (since it’s my ride or die lip and cheek tint!) or find a replacement.

How cool is it to have three products for less than Php 150.

Price - Php 143

EB Advance Tint and Tame

Lastly, I got a new brow product which is EB Advance Tint and Tame Brow Mascara in Brew. It has been a long time since I followed a brow routine and I’m happy to do one finally.

Price - Php 165

I didn’t know how much new makeup would make me happy. It’s been two years since I last went on a spending spree for new makeup. And sobrang stress reliever niya.⁣
