Goodbye March, Hello April 2020

It's time to recap what happened for the month of March 2020 with side stories here and there plus things to look forward to in the coming months.

Oh, March where do I begin?

Just when we thought January was the longest month ever, March proved us wrong.

March literally shook the world and changed our lives forever. The COVID-19 put Luzon in enhanced community quarantine which made almost everyone experience work from home in just a snap of the finger.

And far more than the changes in the work set up, the COVID-19 pandemic turned out to be fatal. With almost 3200+ cases and 150+ deaths.

It also brought a lot of fear and anxiety for me and my family since my parents are part of the most vulnerable from the coronavirus not just in terms of age but also the pre-existing condition they have.

Anyway, I don’t know if I can talk much about March since almost half of it was spent in isolation. But, I did have some great memories before all the chaos began that I’m still glad to share.

Here’s January 2020 and February 2020 in case you missed them.

My New Inaanak!

You remember Steph, right?

She is one of my best friends from High School. The last time I talked about her on the blog was last 2017 when we had a random night out.

Anyway, the biggest surprise of March started with Steph’s new bundle of joy SJ. I was able to visit them two Sundays in a row before the whole COVID-19 pandemic arose.

I am sooooo happy for Steph.

Mama and Papa’s Wedding Anniversary

If there's a love story that I will forever be grateful for then it would be my Mama and Papa's marriage. Through thick and thin they've been together and they have been the best parents any child will ask for. They are great providers, they are great advisers and they never give up on you.

For this year’s celebration we cannot go out so I volunteered to just bring home dinner instead. We had a feastful of Shakey’s top meals - chicken, pasta, mojos and salad.

Weeks of Isolation

Since the enhanced community quarantine was announced on March 17, we were now working from home. At first I was really happy. I’ve always wanted to try the work from home set up and it’s finally happening.

But after some days of isolation, you kind of miss the outside. I miss my workstation so much.

The pressure of working from home is also different. Because no one sees what you do, you are given more work than usual.

One great thing about working from home is the fact that I have more time saved with no commute needed to and from work. With this, I was able to finish more posts than usual and get active on social media.

The book I'm currently reading.
Here are some of the posts from March 2020:

March 2020 Favorites

Beauty - For this month, instead of a favorite skincare or makeup product I’d like to share the vitamins I’m taking from Healthy Options. Here’s a full post about the supplements I’m taking for beauty and immunity.

Movie or Show - With more time as I am working from home, I was able to watch a  lot of movies and series. I am planning to create a separate post for this soon. From the previous month, I have finished How I Met Your Mother and it was really amazing. I enjoyed each and every season and episode of the series.

Song - For song of the month I’ve been playing Dua Lipa’s songs A LOT. I enjoy Physical, Don’t Start Now and Kiss and Make Up.

Looking Forward Next Month

If there’s anything I am looking forward to for April, it’s just for it to be a better month.
