Today we will be doing the annual year-end recap and I’m so excited because A LOT has happened to me in 2018. Let’s take a walk down memory lane, month by month, highlighting the noteworthy events of the year.
January 2018
I took a blog
sabbatical and was not posting for first 21 days of 2018. The main culprit is
the sickness I incurred for the first two weeks of January 2018 and I even got
hit by a speedy bicycle that got me injured on my left hand. Ouch!
February 2018
- I attended the church Volunteers Assembly and became part of the Comms Ministry at Victory Makati.
- Supported my spiritual mom on the launch of her second book, Miss Right Meets World. I was also there during her Seasons of the Heart Book Launch years ago.
- Spent a staycation at my sister’s place! Full 2Days, 2Nights staycation post here.
- I got my second adsense payment ever!
- I finally completed my bucket list to cook decent meals for family! I ended 2018 cooking dishes such as chopsuey, chicken curry, pork binagoongan, adobo, lechon paksiw, buffalo wings and more.
March 2018
- My first out of town trip with the family complete! We went to our province Easter Samar and spent five days no wifi, no signal and pure family bonding!
April 2018
This month was all
about planning for my first ever out of the country trip. Nothing noteworthy.
May 2018
The biggest event for May (and for 2018
in general) was my trip to Seoul, South Korea. I’ve always listed Korea in my
travel bucket list and I can’t believe I actually did it. Seoul was sooooo
amazing. We went to famous landmarks and KDrama shooting locations.
June 2018
- I attended my first ever bridal shower.
- Had a long weekend at my sister’s condo.
- Celebrated Father’s Day at Kenny Roger’s Glorietta.
- Attended as bridesmaid to my cousin’s wedding.
July 2018
- Participated in FAMI’s Annual Shareholder’s Meeting
- Celebrated my mother and elder sister’s birthday
- Attended Victory Weekend as a leader
- Meeting with Coffee Monday Barkada - almost complete!
- Met Lhean and Jevi - my friends from High School

- Yakimix Dinner for my eldest sister birthday

September 2018
- Finished the Purple Book Class, one of the many discipleship classes in Victory Makati.
- Supported eldest sister in her Run Rio Trilogy
October 2018
- Joined the quarterly Prayer and Fasting Week at Church
- Attended Gear Up Leadership Event
- Became a cheerleader at the company sports fest 2018
- Also went to Fantasy World Lemery, Batangas for a makeup gig
November 2018

● Received massive birthday gift from Althea Korea | Watch here
● Went to Penang, Malaysia (blog post coming up soon!)
December 2018
December has always
been a busy season. Here are the major events that took place.
Samgyupsalamat with the family
My mother wanted to
try samgyupsal so much so we finally gave in one night. There was a newly
opened branch near where we live so we dropped by and let her and my father experience
samgyupsal for the first time.
Noel Bazaar Year 4
This has been a
tradition for Nica and I to go to Noel Bazaar. The first time we went there
together was 2015. Then we went again in 2016 and 2017. So this marks our fourth
year going to Noel Bazaar together for some Christmas shopping.
I wasn’t able to
take photos of us together but I did take photos of the items I bought during
this year’s Noel Bazaar visit.
Makeup bag, scarf, portable phone lens and earphones |
Tan flats!!! |
Also, for the first time we were able to buy
items from the Kapuso Ukay-Ukay. We weren’t able to pick items from celebrities
but all were tagged as “Talent” so I guess it came from the wardrobe which
houses different clothes artists can use for tapings.
Christmas Gala at Festival Mall Alabang
We went to Festival
Mall for a traditional gala on the 25th of December to further celebrate
Christmas as a family. Our eldest sister treated us to coffee and snacks at Tim
Hortons. It was nice and fun bonding together.
What I Got for Christmas 2018
Last year, I made a
separate post on what I got for Christmas 2017. This year I decided to include
what I got in my year end recap instead. Really thankful with colleagues who
just shared their love and gave gifts.
New Year at Vierra Residences
Our New Year was
special too! We spent days at our eldest sister’s condo in Vierra Residences to
celebrate as a whole! Yes, we were finally complete! We had a simple feast on
New Year’s Eve with everyone contributing to the tasks needed from preparation to
cooking. As the countdown begins we went at the veranda of my eldest sister’s
condo and watch a ton of fireworks display which was amazing. We also made a simple wall design for New
Year so we can have proper family pictures for New Year.
That’s basically it
for 2018. It was a year worth remembering with me going places - great places!
I am excited as to what 2019 will bring.
Happy 2019 to all
of you!
