It's time to recap what happened for the month of August 2020 with side stories here and there plus things to look forward to in the coming months.
August 2020 has been a month filled with events. First off, I am finally living with my parents again. They were supposed to move for good to Eastern Samar but due to the current pandemic the plan got postponed to January next year. For the time being they will be staying with me.
Next, I am already coming to work although the set up is rather different. I report to work for one week and the next two weeks are work from home. And then I report to work again.
Lastly, I was able to spend time with my oldest sister again which I can’t wait to share with you.
Here’s January 2020, February 2020, March 2020, April 2020, May 2020, June 2020 and July 2020 in case you missed them.
Welcome Home Parents
My parents are finally at home. Sobrang nakakapanibago. I think it was 13 years ago when we last lived together in one house. I am getting used with the new set up and I am treasuring every part of it. Having breakfast, lunch and dinner already prepared, being with my parents 24/7.
Reporting to Work on Site
For August I also went back to report to work on site for the first time since March 16, 2020. It was scary and exciting at the same time. I report to work for one week and the next two weeks are work from home. And then I report to work again.
We were provided our means of transportation so it’s good. We also take as much precaution as we can especially because the current trend of COVID-19 cases keeps on climbing.
Long Weekend at Viera Residences
Finally, now that Metro Manila is back on GCQ I was able to pay a visit to my Ate’s condo in Viera Residences, Quezon City. I spent 5 days and 4 nights with her and it felt like a much needed vacation.
Since there’s still COVID scare, there’s not much gala that took place. We did go to SM North EDSA to buy a laptop for the online class of our youngest sister. The rest of the days were spent at home eating and sleeping.
Blog Update
I haven’t been blogging that much for the month of August. I just had five posts which is half of what I used to do.
I am looking forward to a new month and a new opportunity to be productive.
Here are the posts I made in August 2020:
August 2020 Favorites
Beauty - For August 2020, I’ve been using a lot of new skincare products. I plan to create a separate post for it soon so I won’t be revealing them for now. What I can share is that my face kind of calmed down already. I am trying my best to keep a routine.
Movie or Show - I’ve been watching a lot of KDrama for the month of August 2020. I finished Crash Landing on You, Legends of the Blue Sea, Revolutionary Love and It’s Okay Not to Be Okay.
Crash Landing on You was sooooo good!!! I really love it and I don’t know why it took me months to start with the CLOY bandwagon. I really enjoyed the series because it gives you a glimpse of what life is in North Korea. The only reference I have of North Korea is based on what I read on Escape from Camp 14 by Blaine Harden and watching the whole KDrama series gave me a different view.
Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin were amazing and just meant for each other. I love their chemistry as well as all the secondary characters in the drama. It also made me fall in love with Kim Yeong-min whom I already watched in World of a Married Couple.
Legends of the Blue Sea made me fall in love with Lee Min Ho all over again. This is a feel good KDrama I highly recommend if you want something light. Jun Ji-hyun didn’t disappoint in this drama as well. She is the only actress that can pull off the character of Shim Cheong/ Se-hwa.
Revolutionary Love stars Choi Siwon, Kang So-ra and Gong Myung. This is the first Korean drama I watched of Choi Siwon and he really is something. I love his facial expression although I would want to watch him in a serious drama too. This drama is more of a romantic comedy category.
It’s Okay Not to Be Okay is finished! Wow! This drama is one I highly recommend. It tackles such a unique storyline. It tells the story of the three main leads overcoming past traumas and healing from their emotional wounds.
Kim Soo-Hyun, Seo Ye-ji and Oh Jung-se are just the trio to beat.
Their portrayal of each one’s character was beyond A-MAZ-ING! They really provided a great drama and something one will enjoy
Song - For August 2020, I became obsessed with Stray Kids. I’m a new Stay Stray! I really enjoyed God’s Menu and Miroh. Both songs have been on repeat for me. I also listened so much to Emman Nimedez’ songs - Teka Lang, Uuwian and Kung Pwede Lang.
Looking Forward Next Month
The fact that it’s September already makes me feel both excited and anxious. Only four full months till 2021.
I have high hopes for the month that’s about to come.
I hope you are staying safe with your loved ones.
Thank you for reading.
